Family run guest house centrally suited in Qonce.

Here is some information about your hosts.

Rob is a practical hands-on guy with a heart for nature and local history. Having been a forester by profession his developed an intimate knowledge of the region, including its many battlefields, forts, posts, old mission as well as many of its cemeteries and individual graves. This makes him invaluable as a guide or for recommending things to see or do.

He was among other things intersegmental in the planning and development of the Amatola Hiking trail system. His hobbies include photography and woodwork, examples of which feature in the guesthouse.

Pat who has been running the guest house for almost 20 years met her husband to be at Weza and spent her first two year of married life at Dargle plantation. The next 2 years were spent in the village of Kesiskmahoek (Kobokobo), in the picturesque keiskma basin. Moving to King Williams Town (Qonce) Pat among other things ran a backpackers setup for hikers coming to do the Amatola Hiking Trail.

So along with her husband have over 40 years experience each in the hospitably/tourism sector. Pat began her working life as a ballet teacher, school secretary, then missionary worker. Her love for horses endures, but except for sewing her guesthouse work is a fulltime job – almost 24/7.
